Hi, i will profit of restarting all my campaign at start to install Darthmod but its 'quite' confused on forums and about all versions.
Hardware. WINE gaming. GPU passthrough.Other sites. Pre-requisites:.
Download(2.81GB). Pick the 'Download in 1 File' option. The only mirror thatstill works is apparently. Download the(20MB).Notes:.
$XDGDATAHOME may not be set for you. If not, then the useddirectory should be /.local/share/. It looks big, but the extra steps (compared to Windows) shouldn't take morethan 5-10m.Instructions.Create a dummy E:TW directory: mkdir /EmpireTWtouch /EmpireTW/Empire.exe.Run DarthModEmpirev80Platinuma.exe via wine( wine DarthModEmpirev80Platinuma.exe) and pick the dummy directorywe just created when prompted. This will take some time.Install the v8.0.1 patch in a similar manner.Run the DarthMod launcher: wine /EmpireTW/data/DME/DME Platinum.exeConfigure it the way you want, then press 'Start'. Ignore any 'Filenot found' errors. Do not close it yet, even after it's done.Open /EmpireTW/data/DME/dmelog.txt. Make note of all.pack filespresent under «User Script Entries:» but not «DME packs indata:», then copy them from /EmpireTW/data/DME/Packs/to /EmpireTW/data/.Rename all.pack files so that they're in lowercase.'
S:bulkrename command and's guG come in handy here, if youhappen to use these programs. Thanks for the guide!I've just picked up the total war bundle, your timing is perfect:DEDIT: I have tried, but I can't get it to work. The game doesn't like having the dme pack files in Empire Total War/data/. With the files there, the game doesn't launch, without the files I get it to work. The dme folder in campaigns/ doesn't have that impact. I can keep it there without a problem.I can modify the preferences file and the game starts, but it crashes soon after.
(probably because the pack files aren't found).Any ideas? I did switch the files to lowercase and make them executable.
3 years agodont waste your time with any mods coming from that fuckin joke of a modder darthvader. Youre gonna spend more time fixing and trying to fix his fuckin mistakes and stupity cause he got a fuckin brain of a 5 year old who found out how to mod from youtube.
He doesnt explain shit in how to download, doesnt explain shit how to fix problems. You cant find any fixes cause no one knows how or if someone does they dont post it. You ask on forums youll get the same copy and pasted responses you except from companie. Which none of them work.
So then after hours of downloading you pretty much got tons of time to waste. So you download it. Then you try to run it. Which causes your game to crash. Then you gotta go on a super duty secret spy misson to the moon and mars and back in time. To uninstall.
Total war modders arnt like a degree from i.t.t tech useless and waste of time and effort. Youve been warned.
