The front port on my case is working but the rear audio jacks on the motherboard arent doing anything.I have a P6N diamond and the only thing not working is the audio. The only way i can get sound out is to plug in speakers to the front headphone jack. But none of the microphone jacks seem to be working. Any ideas?I have installed my creative drivers and everything. Do i need to get a separate audio card? I really cant go without this computer as I rely on my computer to do my work so i dont feel like sending my motherboard in for repair/rma.
My motherboard is Gigabyte GA-945PL-S3. So due cleanning I had to disconnect front audio panel wires. Then I installed Windows 7 on a new hard drive. But now I don't know how to plug the wires back.
Well I plugged how I remember (hope didn't damage it) but Realtek HD Audio Manager can't detect speakers nor microphone at front panel, everything seems to be fine on back panel. This is what manual show:This is how it was before (that worked - but can't see well)From front panel comes these wires:2x GND(black)Mic Bias(yellow)Mic in(green)Left out(red)Right out(white)EditI have found the problem. It was in Realtek Manager itself. I had to disable 'Detect front panel sound'. Maintenant on l'appelle plata streaming indonesia.
My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-H87-HD3 and I was having the same problem of Realtek HD Audio Manager not detecting speakers in the front panel. After trying all kinds of solutions and reading the MB's manual dozens of times, I found out it was simply a matter of checking a checkbox!Double-click the red speaker in the tray:It will open Realtek HD Audio Manager. Click the yellow folder icon next to the upper-right corner of the window:This is the important part.
Although it may seem contradictory, you have to check the option that says ' Disable front panel jack detection':Now the front panel icons are enabled:And now your front panel audio should be working. If you still have no sound, maybe could enlighten you. For those who look for the actual answer for the question 'how to connect the cables to the motherboard?'
Jan 5, 2016 - I've fixed the issue my self. Somehow 'Disable front panel jack detection' in the Realtek settings made all my other ports work again. Initially I was using windows default audio driver and the internal speaker and rear audio jack were working fine. But, front panel audio jack was not working. So, I downloaded the audio drivers from HP website and installed them. But now windows can not detect any audio devices. If I uninstall Realtek drivers, the behavior returns to normal.
