Square Enix recently released the hotly-anticipated Stormblood expansion for MMO Final Fantasy 14, but its launched was marred by connection issues that prevented players from getting stuck in.
Game packets can be sent at a faster rate than normal. Your routing to the game servers will be different. This can help get around problems such as packet-loss or a faulty route which are a big cause of lag spikes. The result is a more enjoyable and rewarding game experience.
The MMO Final Fantasy 14 recently had the early access and official launch of the Stormblood expansion. Users experienced a number of issues at launch that prevented users from playing the new content. It was initially believed that the issues were purely caused by the servers being unable to handle the sheer amount of people playing the game. Now Square Enix has that a third party is launching a DDoS attack on the servers in the NA data center.
Furthermore these attacks have been happening since the early access launch on June 16th and have continued since.Square Enix had this to say to fans: “Our technical staff is continuing to work on countermeasures for this issue. However, with the attack we are currently experiencing, only a massive number of access attempts are being made, so character data and personal information registered to our customers’ accounts are not in danger of being exposed. We apologise for any inconvenience this may be causing.”.
