I'm not sure if your immortality flag is getting applied properly when you add it via the ruler designer. Immortality prevents aging, so if your portrait is changing as the years roll on, then immortality is not applied properly.
If get it to work I'll move into step 2, which is to include an intrigue event for characters with certain traits (I was going for mystic to follow the vampire-eating rules of the mod) in which playerchar meets a shady alchemist and together they look for a vampire to drain to become vampires themselves (kind of a dark mirror of the immortal. Jun 29, 2018 - I am missing achievement to become immortal and kill character with immortal trait. So far i got event triggered but never managed to become.
For example, if you are 80 years old and immortal, your character portrait should still look precisely the same as the day you got immortality. If you lose immortality, you'll immediately get the old character portrait. The quickest way to test this is to set up a ruler on the border between character portrait age boundaries (29 and 49) and run the game for a year. If your portrait changes, then it's not working. The next thing you to could try is adding a health bonus to your immortality trait. Something like 'health = 5' to increase it by 5 points (a default ruler designer character has a base health of 5, so the character's total would be 10).You do not want immortality to be inheritable (but you can make it so, if you really want to - it's 'inheritable = yes', I believe). Problems caused by immortality being inheritable could include filling up your court (your fertility drops the more people in your court there are). Your immortal children will always have claims on you and will always have a cassus belli on you.
They could also start becoming adventurers against you. Over the long term, dungeons will fill up with immortals and your game will grind to a screeching halt.
